How Damon Braces Work

Damon passive self-ligating braces eliminate the need for elastic or metal “ties” and painful tightening.

Light high-technology shape-memory wires move teeth faster and requires fewer adjustments and fewer appointments.

Since the Damon braces work more efficiently, they require fewer adjustments so your treatment will probably require fewer office visits than conventional braces. We want to make your treatment as comfortable as possible and fit easily into your busy schedule.

Another great advantage of the lighter forces that the Damon bracket uses to move teeth, is that your overall treatment time will most likely be shortened versus conventional braces. I have known Dr. Dwight Damon for many years.This is a new technology that has the capabilities of creating treatment results that could not be achieved using conventional brackets. This is especially true in the treatment of adults as the attached photos will show. Conventional treatment would require surgery or extraction of teeth and the facial profile compromised. With this technology we are able to treat late growing, and adults nearly as if we were treating a young growing child.
